This is a demanding role which will provide new challenges and learning opportunities daily, so will be best suited to an individual who thrives in a busy and dynamic work environment. We’re proud investors in people and provide comprehensive service and sales training, which is supplemented with ongoing mentorship.
Our focus is on solution selling – our induction and training programme lasts approximately four weeks, so you need to be prepared for a lot of study in order to understand our services and the markets in which we operate.
As an Account Manager, you will report directly to the Manchester Sales Team Manager, who will coordinate daily activities and weekly projects as directed by the Commercial Director and the needs of the business.
A broad technical understanding and experience of selling IT solutions is preferable but not essential, as Dionach provides comprehensive training. The candidate must have experience in Account Management, along with either a university degree in any disciple, or a strong, demonstratable knowledge of appropriate experience and professional skills.
The responsibilities of the Account Manager will primarily extend to the management of, and response to, sales opportunities from an established account base. The role is assessed on achieving sales targets through retention activities, maximising cross-selling opportunities and pursuing new business wherever possible. This will entail the development of strong relationships with customers, proving a good technical knowledge of Dionach’s services and communicating effectively across departments within Dionach. Our consultative approach requires that each candidate must be able to communicate effectively through all levels of an organisation.
The ideal candidate will also have great time management and critical thinking skills, with an ability to help improve existing sales processes. A strong work ethic and personal drive for achievement is essential. It’s a very challenging role, but you’ll be given plenty of support.
