An IT Health Check is a Code of Connection (CoCo) requirement for local councils who wish to connect to the Government Connect Secure Extranet (GCSx). An IT Health Check is also a requirement for other public sector systems security checks, such as for NHS systems and networks.
Dionach provide an IT Health Check service that consists of both internal and external security assessments of networks and IT systems. These assessments follow the standard penetration test methodology and are undertaken by experienced CISSP qualified consultants. Information is gathered about the local network. Service and vulnerability scanning is carried out. Potential exploitation is determined and exploitation is attempted (if within the agreed scope).
The output of a Dionach IT Health Check is a report with a non-technical overview of the impacts and likelihood of the most serious security issues, coupled with full details of the audit undertaken, more comprehensive descriptions of the individual issues, and recommendations for resolution.
We prefer to deliver this IT Health Check report face to face to enable discussion and full comprehension of the risks identified. We also make our auditors available for further meetings and discussions with those who are tasked with fixing any issues.
