IT Health Check

An IT Health Check is a CoCo requirement for local councils who which to connect to the GCSx network. An IT Health Check is also a requirement for other public sector systems security checks, such as for NHS systems and networks.

The IT Health Check is normally an internal and external security assessment of networks and systems. Before testing, Dionach will draft a test plan for agreement.

The internal and external parts of the IT Health Check  follows the standard penetration test methodology. Information is gathered about the local network. Service and vulnerability scanning is carried out. Potential exploitation is determined and exploitation is attempted (if within the agreed scope).

The report will provide an executive summary section with a non-technical explanation of the impacts and likelihoods of the more serious issues, as well as a more in-depth technical section.
